At the dinner table last night, we were eating our way through a rather large bowl of cherry tomatoes from our garden, when I made a comment on the state my bowels would be the next day, given my larger than normal intake of fiber. After this comment Jeffrey out of no where sang "They call it thunder!", which I'm not sure are the real words to the song he was trying to sing.
But we all exploded into laughter. The timing was perfect.
I am thunder free, and looking forward to a tomato sandwich for lunch!

PIcture This...
Today I thought I would update with pictures taken since I got home for the summer. Many of them are probably of things I forgot to mention doing...
I touched it all up with more layer and some angling in the front, and though it was a little shorter than she thought it would be...
We went to go see Singing in the Rain at Plays-in-the-Park in Roosevelt. The show was fabulous as was the company!
My mother's belated birthday dinner was an attempted recreation of Cafe Rio's infamous salads. Homemade tortilla's, rice, black beans, barbecue pork, lettuce, and every topping imaginable. It was a lot more cooking than I thought it would be, and rolling out almost 30 tortillas is quite the workout. But it was worth it as they tasted as good as they looked!
To add to my comments on the 4H fair there are a few pictures my dad got of some of what we saw. Well the funny stuff we saw...
Goats never cease to make me laugh. Imagine if we all had ridiculous and unnecessary appendages dangling from our throats. My favorite goats are the pygmy goats with the crazy beards!
Some of the animals you just had to feel bad for. Sheep in leotards? Really, what has this world come to? Lol...okay well they probably aren't leotards, but still, humiliating nonetheless.

Ridiculous Rent Ramble
So I'm back to having a life, other than just playing with clay and driving everyone everywhere.
I worked a full 8 hours on Thursday, after getting a call from my boss at 8am asking me if I could come in at 9am and work til 1pm. I complied...giving up my mid morning nap...and worked until 6pm.
When I got home we went to the Somerset County 4H fair and slopped through what we hoped as only mud, to various tents to see all the animals and other displays. I thought the alpacas were particularly funny looking, but they probably thought the same about me. This little kid got bit by a goat in the goat tent, which was hilarious, but his lifetime fear of goats probably wont be.
Then on Friday I went with Alex, Ben, Dakota, and Danie went to see Rent at Villager's theatre. It was way better than I thought it was going to be. They did a good enough job that I almost cried! After the play we went to Taco Bell and McDonald's for foods and then home for sleeps.
Saturday after a mosquito ridden breakfast in the park, I went to Island Beach State Park for a YSA Luau on the beach. I drove down early with the food packed in my van and then helped setting it all up. When we first got there the sand was crazy hot, like hot enough to give my feet blisters.
The soft underside of each toe got pretty roasted, this toe is bad enough I can barely bend my toe without searing pain.
My big toe on the other foot has a massive blister on the lower left hand side of it nearest to my other toes. It's gross but doesn't hurt to bad. When it pops though...its going to kill!
Regardless, it was a really amazing activity. It was nice to be on the beach again and to to see Seth who drove up to hang with us for the day. There was tons of good food, and I managed to drive there and back without getting a ticket, or having any of the crazy drivers hit our van. Best of all I was able to get a little color back!
Up this week: Who knows!?! We'll just have to wait and see!

Video-mation Relaxation
I have not worked again...but have managed to keep myself very busy. One of my biggest projects was putting together a compilation video of pictures from our family conference this last year in preparation for our conference in a month or so. It is pretty amusing. Dad posted it on YouTube for public viewing pleasure.
I also have kept busy relaxing, helping out in the yard, starting tickle fights, driving Alex to and from cross-country practice, listen to some all time favorite JumpStart songs, and rediscovering my artistic side.

In honor of my fellow clay-player, I made a miniature statue in his likeness. Yes, there is a gun in the gun holster...I know...I should do clay-mation.
I have also kept busy by teaching myself guitar, playing tennis in the park with Jeff, getting back massages from Becky, going to institute and other YSA activities and playing with my newly inherited ipod.
Moral of the story...I might not be too upset if work never calls me in.

We had a sheep making contest...his was more of a sheep dog than a sheep...so as the only sheep in the contest this cute little guy won!

"While we're emptying the Vacu-um"
We had a lot of fun today with the box from the new vacuum my mom bought. We stuck Jeffy inside and taped it shut to see if he could get out on his own. I grabbed my camera and got some of it before my camera died.
After my camera dies Becky picks him up and he falls through the bottom. Lol...
This is what happens when 5 kids get too bored in the middle of the summer, and have a brother sized box laying around!

The Fat Worker
I'm sorry that I have been terrible with keeping up with my blog since arriving in New Jersey. It probably will not surprise you to find out that my life at home is fairly uneventful.
I worked today but at a different center than I did last summer, to sub for teachers going on a field trip. I was in a room of toddlers with some of the weirdest names ever...I think by the time I left I had finally gotten them down. Let's see how many I can remember Aarav, Anush, Narun, Viv, Kritin, Geovanny (this is how is parents spelled it), Divya, Anya, Marina, Akiel, Niah. Whoa...I remembered all of them...go me! Yes,the majority were of Indian descent in case you couldn't tell. I may be working again tomorrow at one of the centers, but I guess I'm on a call when needed basis. But if not I will probably stop by my old center to visit with the teachers and some parents.
I also went to the Grease Trucks in New Brunswick for a fat sandwich this week. I went for the ever classic Fat Darrell, a wonderful combo of chicken fingers, mozzerella sticks, fries, and marinara sauce on a torpedo roll. It is simply delicious I tell you!! I kinda want to go again, but how many 1700 calorie lunches can you have in a one week period...I'll go to the Chinese Buffet instead.

Homecoming Boredom
I forgot to post after getting home. I've been busy partying hard!
I got to the airport around 8am and and checked in and walked to my gate only to find out that they had switched gates that my flight was leaving from and that it would be leaving at 10:55am instead of 9:50am. So I walked all the way to the other side of the airport, and sat for two hours. My flight finally left at 11:30am and for the delay we received a complementary headset!
I arrived in Newark a little before 6pm and met Dori and Kathy after getting my bag. We had a fun ride to my house, chatting and laughing, they also got me some Rita's as a welcome back present. It was heavenly!! When I got home Jeffy was the only one home, so we partied til Becky got back from baby sitting, then partied some more!
Saturday I drove down to Freehold to pick Alex and Ben up from Trek and then waited up til 3 in the morning when my parents got home, then we partied.
I am loving being home minus the humidity making my hair go crazy. BUT I am bored out of my mind. So I might end up working more than I thought I would, just so I have something to do!!
